Before the Christmas trees take centre stage, we’re throwing open the gates for a spooky season of pumpkin picking and woodland fun, right here in Hertfordshire.

Out in the field, a sea of bright orange pumpkins is waiting to be chosen. Plump, round and perfect for carving, they’re just sitting in the autumn air ready to be picked. Whether you’re after a tiny, knobbly pumpkin for a windowsill display or a giant one to carve into the grinning Jack-o’-Lantern of your dreams, you’ll find it here.
If you’re looking for pick your own pumpkins in Hertfordshire, there’s nothing quite like wandering the fields and choosing your own straight from the earth, rather than picking one up in a supermarket aisle.
Once you’ve got your pumpkin, it’s time to head into the woods. We’ve transformed the trees into a rustling Woodland Halloween Trail, with winding paths for the kids to explore and plenty of spooky scenes tucked among the branches, from friendly ghosts to giant spider webs. It’s designed to be just the right mix of frights and family fun: spooky enough to be exciting, but light-hearted enough for everyone to enjoy.
After a stroll round the pumpkin patch and the woodland trail, head over to our on-site cafe to warm up. We’ve got hot chocolates, sweet treats and comforting bites, perfect for little ones who’ve worked up an appetite, and for parents in need of a coffee.\
